Gas Training Initial Assessment Course
Qualification Period 5 Years
Gas Safe requires that all new entrants to the gas industry have a background of relevant gas work experience. Being able to show a portfolio of work experience and undertaking an approved training course is the minimum entry requirement.
Our Elementary Gas Certificate (Domestic) meets all of the entry requirements. The course duration is 20 days of classroom training delivered over a number of months. The candidate also has to work alongside a Gas Safe Registered engineer and build a portfolio of work. During this period, we will also visit the candidate on site to check on the progress being made and to talk to the supervising engineer regarding the candidates progression.
On completion of the classroom training and a satisfactory portfolio, the candidate will be awarded an Elementary Gas Certificate (Domestic). On receipt of this certificate, the candidate is able to then apply to undertake domestic gas qualifications.
